The Natural Food Store became a members’ co-operative in 2007 when shoppers and supporters bought it from the private owners who wanted to retire. It sells both specialist and everyday products and prides itself on giving value for money and selling healthy, natural, organic and ethically sourced foods. Shopping locally at the store helps preserve food diversity, promotes healthy food choice, and helps sustain a vibrant shopping environment in Headingley. New members who share its values and wish to invest in it are always welcome.
