Congratulations to Leeds Rhinos, now eight times Champions of the Super League!
Leeds Rhinos is a hugely successful Rugby League Football Club. Founded in 1870, it was originally called Leeds or The Loiners, changing its name to Leeds Rhinos in 1996. In 1888 the Cardigan Estate in Headingley was put up for sale. A group of local citizens bought Lot 17a and this land is now the grounds of Emerald Headingley Stadium, the home of Leeds Rhinos. The Club is a member of the Super League, the top level European rugby league Club competition, and has now won the competition eight times. It also won the Challenge Cup, League Leaders Shield and the Grand Final in 2015 completing the modern day rugby league treble.
