Wheatfields Emergency Appeal

Due to the devastating impact that coronavirus is having on our hospice, we face a funding gap of £564000 a month and have launched an Emergency Appeal to protect our provision of end of life care.  Our shops have closed and almost all our fund raising actives have ceased resulting in a massive drop in our income. We have never known anything like this. For the first time we are in a position where we may not be able to continue to provide people with our specialist end of life care.

We have been in the heart of Headingley for over 40 years. Whether we’re supporting people in the hospice in our 18 bed inpatient unit, their own homes or our day care services, our focus is on quality of life – giving every patient the care and support they need to spend the time they have left in the way they choose.

We are a charity and all the services provided at Sue Ryder Wheatfields Hospice are completely free to patients and their loved ones, but we can only continue to do this thanks to the generosity of our supporters.

Until it had to close, we also had a fabulous on-site charity shop that sells fantastic good quality items from clothing to bric-a-brac, bags and shoes as well as selling new goods. . We also had a lovely café’ where you could just relax while grabbing a delicious cup of coffee or tea.

We desperately need your help so please do support us.  You can find our Emergency Appeal on JustGiving.
