Woodhouse Ridge lies on the northern edge of Headingley Hill, descending steeply from the Hill down to Meanwood Beck, looking over Meanwood Valley. From Headingley, there are only a few points of access (see map).

The Ridge is owned by Leeds City Council and managed by its Parks & Countryside Service. It is cared for by Woodhouse Ridge Action Group (WRAG).
