Hello! We are Beth and Vic! And we run Acting Out! We are a primary school teacher and a freelance creative with a love for drama, stories and words.
We are a children’s drama group based in Headingley at the Methodist Church. We run our weekly sessions every Tuesday for children aged 7-12. Our first session is at 4.30-5.30 for children aged 7-9 and our second session is 5.45-6.45 for children 9-12.
We use books and story-telling to inspire our sessions. Each week we choose a story to base our activities on. We have jumped into fantastical woodland fairy-tales, walked through the wardrobe and discovered different lands, and explored high up in the Magic Faraway Tree. In our sessions the children make their own props, tell their own stories through drama, storytelling and art, and put on small performances. We are a relaxed, fun and friendly group with big imaginations.
