The Headingley Greengrocer now runs a delivery service!
Owned by Headingley Development Trust (HDT), The Headingley Greengrocer on North Lane has featured several times on our website - when we bought it from the Harris’s in 2019, celebrating its first birthday in the midst of the pandemic in 2020, breathing a sigh of relief with the shop still going strong post pandemic in 2021 and most recently as we celebrated its status as the oldest shop on North Lane.
Now the shop is about to add a new chapter to its story by adding an on-line shopping facility offering home deliveries and a collection service. It’s actually not the first time we have offered deliveries – they were a key part of our service to the local community during the pandemic – but it is the first time that our customers will have been able to order and pay for their produce on-line.
Seasonal Fruit & Salad Box
The new delivery service starts w/c 2 February 2026 and is open to customers in LS4, LS6 and LS16 (south of the Ring Road). Customers order and pay online by the Wednesday of the week they want the produce and choose from a variety of carefully curated veg, fruit, or salad boxes – and with an organic option. They will be delivered, according to preference, on Friday morning or Saturday afternoon. The produce will, as always, be mouth-wateringly fresh and provided by suppliers as local as possible.
